A little about me
I have loved art and fashion for as long as I can remember. I have always admired the beauty and confidence that clothing can bring and I have always connected to the power of emotion in an artists work.
Growing up in a world so conscious of our planet and its suffering, I struggled to find a way to pursue my passion for art and fashion in a way that would not add to the damage already inflicted on our planet. I also struggled to find a way to participate in environmental action that did not feel all consuming.
I have so much pride and gratitude in my educational experience, I was able to live in the world of fashion and then ground myself through environmentalism. From my time in two polar opposite colleges, I came to understand my role. To use my in depth knowledge of the fashion industry, all of its positives and negatives to help other people become educated and confident. As well as how I could utilize secondhand materials in all aspects of my art so that I was not creating waste but repurposing waste into something beautiful.
